The Conference Venue

The conference will be held at the Vienna University of Technology (TU Vienna), Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. For nearly 200 years, the TU Vienna has been a place of research, teaching and learning in the service of progress. The TU Vienna is among the most successful technical universities in Europe and is Austria’s largest scientific-technical research and educational institution.

The TU Vienna is situated in the very heart of Vienna, in the pulsating cultural centre of town. Within easy walking distance are the Opera House, the art nouveau Secession building, the Musikverein, home of the Vienna Philharmonic, from which the New Year’s Concert is annually broadcast around the globe, and the splendid baroque Karlskirche (Church of St. Charles). The TU Vienna features its own two orchestras, Vienna’s oldest ball (TU-Ball) and a public debate series (TU Forum).

The conference oral and poster sessions will all be held within the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Gusshausstrasse 27-29, as will the conference opening reception, which will be held in on Sunday afternoon, 6 July 2014.
